The fine kilim used in this handcrafted sofa is handwoven of 100% wool by nomadic tribes people in the mountain villages of Turkey . Wool kilims have long played an important role in village life, in the home as traditional floor mats and bedding cover, as a ceremonial cloth, and as an ostentatious display of wealth with valuable dowry kilims . Each is unique in design, with characteristics of the region from which it comes.
